Flurry are reporting today that use of Social Gaming Applications on the iOS would be number 6 in this weeks US TV Ratings.
While it is a simplistic measure, judging by their soap examples, I’m assuming the people who are consuming this type of data to make buying decisions are switching their support to advertising models which don’t overemphasise traditional mass-media.
This has to be especially the case now they are starting to see real data proving what some of us have been talking about for quite some time. And consider this, Flurry is only in abut 20% of the Applications which might be considered in this measure.
And do we understand now why Apple built iAd and why Google don’t really mind if people buy iOS devices in preference to Android ones?
